When is the best time to go to Burnside Island?

The best time to visit Burnside Island is during the shoulder seasons of spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller. During these months, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 18°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the marshlands or relaxing on the nearby beaches. The humidity is also lower than in the summer, making for a more enjoyable experience. You'll also encounter fewer tourists compared to the peak summer season, allowing for a more relaxed trip. Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will particularly appreciate the spring and autumn months. You can enjoy quiet strolls along the waterfront, dine al fresco without feeling rushed, and easily secure reservations at popular restaurants. The mild weather is great for exploring the natural beauty of the island and its surroundings. Families might also find these shoulder seasons appealing, especially if they prefer to avoid the intense summer heat and larger crowds.

TRYP by Wyndham Savannah Downtown/Historic District

8/10 Good

"It’s a quiet hotel with no in site restaurant. It is close to many attractions within walking distance. Unfortunately my assigned room was not cleaned, but I was quickly moved to another room. Staff was very friendly."

Cambria Hotel Savannah Downtown Historic District

8/10 Good

"First time staying at the Cambria. The property has a nice modern, contemporary look. The room was very well maintained and clean. The room was well soundproofed and quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable. Had difficulty in attempting to figure out the remote for the TV. Lots of trial and error. Enjoyed the fitness center with 24hr. access. Wish they had complementary coffee out during the day and evening except for the limited breakfast time. Fifty dollar valet charge per night is outrageous. Luckily we were able to find street parking nearby. When I attempted to return room cards and receive a copy of my room charge this morning at 10am, no one was at the desk. I waited a few minutes but no one appeared. We would stay again for a return visit depending on the rates."
